A Fan’s View: Weekend of 11/7/14

This week’s Fan’s View of the weekend that was is a day late because when the Eagles play on Monday Night Football it feels like a 3 day weekend.

The Flyers are playing better than we need.  There’s no chance of a top 3 Draft pick if they keep playing like this.  Is Berube this good as a coach?

The Flyers could learn a thing or two from the Sixers, who are tanking wonderfully yet again as they are winless after 7.

I know it was Thursday night, but man does Andy Dalton stink. He’s the luckiest man in the NFL this year with that new contract in the summer that guarantees him $25M. Marvin Lewis and Dalton both need to go.

Notre Dame lost. That always puts a smile on my ugly mug.

I was the idiot who bet on the Bears this weekend. That team flat out quit. No guts, no fire. Cutler may be a loser. Marc Trestman needs to go back to Montreal.

Cam Newton looked disinterested.

Fletcher Cox may have his own beast mode.

Connor Barwin is having an All-Pro season.

Is Ron Rivera fired before Trestman and Marvin Lewis?

Sproles is a gift from the football gods. I’m fine with him dropping passes if he’s gonna return the next punt for a TD.

Casey Matthews doesn’t look strong enough to be more than a decent special teamer.

WHERE IS ZACH ERTZ?

I think I officially have a man-crush on Cody Parkey.

Yeah yeah Mike Tirico called Sanchez Vick. More importantly, he gave a “Fly Eagles Fly” after on of the Eagles TDs. Well done!

VIOLATION on the city for not coordinating the lights on the skyscrapers. Why were some of them blue? We know Monday Night Football is gonna do a skyline shot. They all should have been lit green for the night.

I’m kind of over the crowd at the Linc booing hurt players because they think the players are trying to slow the game down.

Fozzy Whitaker is a great name.

I’m surprised nobody at Geno’s or Pat’s asked Sanchez about Broadway musicals.

There are rumors that the Royals may have an interest in Ryan Howard? SOLD! Love Howard as a person, class act, but his time in Philly is done. He needs a new change of scenery with less pressure…maybe one where he can chill and grab some good BBQ with Andy Reid.
