A Fan’s View: Eagles Jets Preseason 2015
The Eagles Jets game last night was one of the hardest football games I have sat through in quite a long time. There was one shining star, TEBOWWWWWWW!
–Mike Mayock is getting there. Him or his stylist finally went away from the patterned shirt with a patterned tie and he looked worlds better, aside from that bad unshaven lumberjack look he insists on rocking!
-That’s a classic look there. The look got better once he took the jacket off at halftime and exposed a tasteful vest. What’s up with the size of those microphones on the headsets Mike and Scottie are wearing? Helicopter pilots have more discrete microphones. These look like Eagles Network scored them at the Radio Shack Going Out of Business Sale!
-We had grooming issues all around. Mike facial hair is a mess. In addition, nobody seemed to notice Scott Graham’s subtle cowlick on the top.back of his head.
-Tonight, I couldn’t help but notice how large and distracting the score was in the top left corner of the game. Wide receivers and cornerbacks were sometimes obscured by the gargantuan scoreboard. This picture doesn’t depict that as the CB at the top was playing press coverage. Had he been off the ball, he’d be out of sight.
–Matt Barkley had a total case of the yips. I know he’s a religious dude so he had to know the guy he was competing with had more bonus points with the big guy upstairs. He was pressing too hard as evident by his under/over throwing of several receivers.
-It was good to finally see Kiko Alonso play. He looks like he could use a few extra smoothies. What’s his waist size like a 29?
-Dave Spadaro did a little sideline reporting on Cody Parkey telling us that he’ll be fine for the opener. He also mentioned that Parkey was a fat kid. Damn, nothing like fat shaming him and other husky kids!
-The secondary looked rough.
-Kiko Alonso going for a Head & Shoulders ad deal with Troy Polamalu? He had a weird McDreamy look to him, too.
-The only thing that looked capable of stopping the Eagles offense so far has been Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley.
-Sam Bradford have the UN-broadest shoulders ever? Even his t-shirt sleeves look too long. 
-Tebow definitely had more energy in the 2-minute drill at the end of the first half. His feet kept plays alive. With :42 left in the first half, Mike Mayock exclaimed [referring to Tebow] “This kid’s amazing. He really is!”
-Maybe Tebow has issues with concentration. Chip yelled at him about taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away and he came back with a nice TD pass to Bailey.
–Celek looked confused as Sanchez, Tebow, and Coooper were obviously discussing hair products. Nice part, Mark!
-This game was hard to watch at home. I couldn’t imagine paying for a ticket and parking. The last preseason game should be free. No one should have to pay for that.
-The camera found this group of fans wearing various Tebow jersey. To which, Mayock asks “What’ the chick wearing?” WHAT’S THE CHICK WEARING? He must’ve thought he was sitting at a pub with his boys instead of broadcasting a game.
–Metlife Stadium played the Village People’s YMCA at the 3:10 mark of the fourth quarter. Village People at a football game? That’s a Violation. It did prompt me to finally put together that they were the Village People because they were from the Greenwich Village area of NY, which had a large gay population at the time the group was formed. Sometimes I’m not the quickest!

-How long was the delay on the post-game between John Clark and Mike Mayock? NASA engineers have less lag time when communicating with astronauts in orbit.
