A Fan’s View: Eagles Cowboys Week 2

The game sucked. I wish I would’ve fallen asleep during it.

Here is this fan’s view of the Eagles Cowboys game.

-The first Eagles offensive play was a sign of things to come. Jordan Matthews was in motion and assigned to block the DE Mincey on the run play. He missed him and Mincey his Murray in the backfield.

The picture below is a bit blurry, but Matthews has his hands up trying to avoid a hold call after he was beaten and Mincey wraps Murray with an arm.

-The Draftkings commercial with the Ed Norton voiceover made me realize I really like Ed Norton as an actor.

-I still hate the Fox robots.

-Comcast or Fox gave us this great look at the game for a couple minutes in the first quarter.

-On the second series, Tyrone Crawford deflects a Bradford pass. The blocking situation seemed to have Kelce on Crawford with Guard Andrew Gardner helping. Here’s Gardner watching Kelce struggle with Crawford and Crawford’s outstretched hand hitting Bradford.

Here’s a view from the other side.

-On the very next play, Brent Celek misses a block on Crawford who then disrupts Ryan Matthews running path

–Kelce then stumbles, misses a block on Sean Lee, and falls down. Lee tackles Matthews for a loss.

–Demeco Ryans looked like a healthy beast on the goal line stand in the first quarter. He stuff a run play and broke up a pass play to an open Jason Witten.

-On a 2nd & 8 at the end of the first quarter, Gardner was late getting to Terell McClain off the snap. McClain blows Kelce into the backfield and disrupts the play. You can see Gardner reaching for McClain as he pushes Kelce.

-Kelce, obviously frustrated, give Gardner the hands on the hip look like, “Really?”

-Joe Buck’s back with the Lumberjack Look. He looks ridiculous with it. Just shave! And what’s up with Troy and Joe wearing blue suits during the game. Might as well put some stars on the lapels.

-Is Jason Garrett a part-time magician? His challenge flag in his back pocket looks the size of one of those never-ending handkerchiefs.

-Who wants to play patty cake with a guy with cool glasses?

-Fox did a comparison of Philly vs. Dallas. TexMex vs. Cheesesteak, TV shows Dallas vs. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, big oil vs. a big bell, America’s team vs. the Birthplace of America. It may have been the stupidest thing on TV all day. Fox Producer Jake Jolivette needs to run that stuff past someone before it airs. It was bad and Joe Buck sold Jake out as the producer of the bit.

-Can Eskin find a pair of green or white Beats headphones? His color schemes never go with the Eagles. Red, really?

-Does Jerry Jones have the tiniest hands ever? Seriously, that hand gripping the table after Romo’s injury looks like a miniature hand. Check out the other one hanging down?

-After watching the game again, the entire offensive line was blowing blocks and late on assignment. Celek had a terrible blocking day. Johnson was late on few times and Gardner just stunk. This listing would be never ending if I kept highlighting them. Offensive Line Coach Jeff Stoutland needs to get it together. Where’s Juan Castillo?

-Who is Mr. Smiley after Dan Bailey grabbed and held onto Murray’s arm on the sideline. He found it a little too amusing.

-This face pretty much sums up the game.

I can’t do any more. I don’t want to rehash this stuff.

This one was a bad loss.
