A Fan’s View: Eagles Dolphins Week 10

Ouch. That game was embarrassing. Bad coaching, dumb penalties, injuries and a team that just isn’t very good.

The tortuous thing about this NFL season is that no matter how bad the Eagles might look or how many games they lose, they are still “in it.” It’s a cruel joke on Eagles fans. The fans are unable to emotionally detach themselves from the season. Poor performances on Sundays would be easier to digest if fans knew the Eagles had no chance at the playoffs. The sad fact is that as bad as the Eagles may look, so to does the rest of the NFC.

Here is this fan’s view of the game and broadcast:

•BRENT CELEK looked 25 years old. It’s a shame that Celek couldn’t celebrate a great personal performance day with an Eagles victory. Celek isn’t a guy who will take any solace in a great personal game when the team loses.

•Yes, Josh Huff scored. The Dolphins didn’t bother covering Huff and Bradford tried his best to find someone else to throw it to. Huff was jumping up and down and waving his hands.

•It only took 19 minutes into the broadcast for the obligatory Philly Cheesesteak shot. I guess we just have to embrace it. Our jawns are the best so we shouldn’t mind every broadcast that comes to Philly showing the sandwiches. At least they were going wiz!

•I hate Ron Howard movies. He’s a corny mofo. I do like Ron Howard as Richie Cunningham from Happy Days, but he’s bad as a director. Seeing the commercial for his take on Moby Dick is depressing.

•Caleb Sturgis missed a FG, but the snap by Dorenbos was bad. His snap on the blocked punt wasn’t much better.

•Coors Light sucks, but having Bryan Cranston do the voiceover is badass….Heisenberg!

•Not a fan of Kevin Harlan the play-by-play guy on the broadcast.

•Defense did their job, again. Great goaline stance in the middle of the 2nd quarter. Jenkins and Barwin came up strong.

•If I heard Kevin Harlan say Jay Ajayi’s name one more time, I may have put a foot through my speakers.

•Not only did the game get a bad announcing crew, the referee crew may have been worse.

•This guy let the refs know they were taking too long during the sack, fumble, change of possession play.

•Kevin Harlan said Landry was being “fiddled with” on the sidelines by the Eagles. Say what?

•This “bat” Dolphin fan dude had to come alone, right?

•JJ Watt gets fired up listening to Zac Brown Band???? Yo, dude, ever heard of Motorhead, Wu-Tang, AC/DC, Public Enemy, Pantera?

•We all knew the Eagles were doomed once the Dolphins scored on a tipped, fluke ball, right?

•RILEY COOPER?!

•It’s never good when your team’s quarterback looks like he spends more time on his hair than watching film.

•Oh, Chip, how’d it go so bad so quick? 10-6 to losing to the Dolphins?
