Broad City Ladies Show Local Artist Some Love
Broad City is one of the funnier shows to debut in recent years. The show, on Comedy Central, follows the lives of two twenty-something ladies, Ilana & Abbi, in hipster Brooklyn. If you haven’t seen it, here’s a clip:
Abbi is played by Abbi Jacobson, who grew up in the area in Wayne, PA. Abbi & Ilana did #FanArtFriday on their instagram account and posted a couple caricatures of themselves by local artist/art student Jackie Kolifrath. Nice work by the Broad City ladies to show some local love to an emerging female artist. At the time of writing this, the post had over 6,800 likes. Here’s the actual post:
