Grateful Dead Night at the Ballpark
When I think of all the worst theme nights possible at a Phillies game, a Grateful Dead night would definitely rank in the top five. That’s just music that I can’t get into and the songs go on forever.
I had the luck of my partial season ticket plan falling on Grateful Dead night.
The game was great with the Phillies shelling Bumgarner for 6 runs and then taking on another seven to win 13-8.
Here’s what the scene looked like:
Phillies fans brought out their best tie-dyes for the beautiful summer night.

The Dead aren’t as big as Star Wars, which drew over 28,000 for Star Wars night.
As my buddy pointed out, why does PGW advertise? Who are their competitors? Couldn’t PGW prices be a little lower if they scrapped the advertising budget?
We had a proposal. Did she say yes or no?
The Good.
The bad.
The ugly.
Did this dude realize this was a Phillies and Giants game?
Solid throwback Kruk jersey.
Giants pitcher getting jiggy with it…Will Smith.
It was this lady’s birthday. That’s confetti, not dandruff.
The amazing Pistachio Girl with the best hat of the 2016 Phillies season.
Slash?
Highlight of the night was my buddy’s 92 year old dad getting into the Grateful Dead spirit. Violation on the Phanavision people for not getting him on the big screen!
