A Look Inside the New Garage in Fishtown

The Garage in South Philly has to be one of the more popular destinations in the area. The place is packed no matterĀ the night. Weeknights, weekdays, holidays. It’s always bumping.

Of course, it only made sense to open a spot in Fishtown.

We stopped by last week to check it out.

There is no dobut this is gonna be another formula for success. The place was only open a few days, but already packed with 21-30 year-olds

If you’re familiar with the Garage in South Philly, you’re gonna be familiar with the Fishtown version, which is located across the street from Johnny Brenda’s in the old Penn Treaty Market building.

Skeeball and pool tables, check. Good sound system, check. Extensive selection of canned beers, check.

The only real drag on the new location was the noise level. I don’t know if some sound-proofing can be installed without screwing up the aesthetics, but the noise level from people talking and the music made it a little difficult to carry on a conversation with our group without yelling.

Ya know what they say, though. If it’s too loud, you’re too old. That’s probably my case.

There’s no doubt this will be a booming success. It’s another fun spot with an impressive can selection.

Get your ass up to Garage North and support the new jawn. It’s a great spot to grab a can or two before checking out a show at Johnny Brenda’s.

Here’s a brief look of the place the night we were there.
