The Greatest Day in Philly in Pictures

Let’s forget about the soap-opera-like drama of the Carson Wentz situation and slip back into time. Back into the greatest day in Philly. Back to Feb. 4th, 2018. Here’s a look back at the city and my day on that glorious Super Bowl-winning Sunday.

The day in the Philly area started off in an unusual fashion. Shortly after 4 a.m., a car hurtled into the air and into a house in Downingtown. Like, into a house. Surprisingly, the two passengers in the vehicle and those in the house escaped uninjured.

11:17 a.m. Folks stocking up on Smirnoff and party necessities at the South Street ACME.

1:04 p.m. I join friends at Chickie’s & Pete’s by the stadium to join in their good luck ritual for big games. Somehow Chickie’s became their good mojo spot. Who’s to argue?

1:19 p.m. I visit the CVS down by the stadium to grab a bottle of Pedialyte in case I need hydration help due to overindulgence. Oddly, I did not need this Monday morning.

1:58 p.m. Same friends venture to O’Neal’s Irish Pub near 3rd and South Streets. for some pre-gaming.

2:47 p.m. More pre-gaming at New Wave Cafe at 3rd & Catherine.

For some reason, my iPhone says this photo was taken at 7:08 p.m. It had to be later than that because this was at the end of the first half. Weird. Anyway, it’s the only photo from the game any of us really need to see.
