Thank you, Lakers!

Thank you, Lakers for passing on the best player I saw in college hoops last year. Yeah, I know, Jahlil Okafor struggled in the tournament. I hear the people saying the NBA is a guards league now. I hear that Okafor may struggle defensively and that the Sixers need a guard. Ya know what? I don’t care.

Everyone has games where they struggle. D’Angelo Russell put up 6 points against Marquette and 9 points vs. Arizona. All players have those games.

NBA is a guards league because the big men coming out suck. Demarcus Cousins is the best big man coming out now? Come on. Okafor may be great. You gonna tell me in this “guard” league that you’d pass over Shaq for Russell? I’m not saying Okafor is Shaq, but he’s a big man with offensive skills that I haven’t seen for a long while and he’s only 19.

Okafor does struggle defensively. That’s why Noel or Embiid is here. They’re the rim protectors.

The Sixers need a guard? What don’t the Sixers need. Noel is a nice player, but my plateau out at a 12 pts/12 reb player that blocks shots. Embiid may never play. Who knows? I’d rather have to find a guard than struggle to find a big.

I love, love, love the pick and can’t wait to see him in the Sixers lineup!
