Levi’s Ignores Eagles
I wear Levi’s. I regularly purchase Levi’s through their website. If you’re a fan, I would recommend you do the same. The quality from Levi’s is better than you find in Levi’s available at Kohl’s, etc. Different denim and different manufacturing locations. And, the Levi’s site often has 40% sales.
Levi’s fills my inbox daily with email offers. Today’s piqued my interest. It wasn’t a 40% off sale. It was introducing Levi’s new NFL collection.
I ain’t gonna lie, I took the bait and clicked on the link. Part of me cringed at seeing the graphic in the email. I wear no other jeans, but Levi’s and I can’t have them jumping the shark after 142 years. Part of me wanted to see what Eagles gear was in the collection.
The collection has denim jackets & vests, t-shirts, and flannels with NFL team colors and logos. The collection is as bad as I imagined when I saw the graphic in my inbox so I gotta say that the entire collection is a bit of a violation.
The bigger violation is that the collection has items for only seven NFL teams. I get the 49ers. That’s Levi’s home turf. The other teams are the Broncos, Bears, Packers, Patriots, Jets, and Giants. The Bears? The Broncos? The Jets?
I’m guessing they are going clearly on population size of the cities with Chicago and New York teams. Historic with Green Bay. Popularity with the Patriots. The Broncos? How could they ignore the most intriguing team in the NFL, the Eagles, and its most interesting coach in Chip Kelly? Come on, the Eagles are on prime time 5 times this year, as many as any other team!
Total diss by Levi’s towards the Eagles. I’m surprised the Cowboys aren’t available. Kudos for that.
Yes, the Eagles got no respect from Levi’s. On the positive side, we won’t see any of these jawns at The Linc this year!
E-A-G-L-E-S!
