RANT: Leave Your Shopping Cart
RANT:
Grocery shopping usually sucks. I don’t know many people who look forward to this weekly task, unless it’s at a farmers market. To get through this necessary task, it is important that we work together to make this task as pain-free as possible.
One group of people continue to insist on making grocery shopping far more difficult than necessary. These are the people who insist on taking their carts everywhere they go. I understand keeping your cart by your side while your child is in the cart. We are not talking about that here.
This is directed toward people without children, who clog up the narrow aisles of inner-city grocery stores with their carts. Running down an aisle for Rigatoni or cashews becomes an obstacle course. Stop it, already.
Find a nice wide spot at the end of the aisle and leave your cart there and go get the items that you need. Please. I’m sick of weaving up and down store aisles because you insist on holding on to your cart like it’s made of gold. And, if you’re gonna leave it in an aisle, make sure it’s wide enough for people to easy pass. The people in the photo at the top have made it nearly impossible for anyone to get near the eggs or cottage cheese. Come on! Life isn’t this difficult.
END OF RANT.
