Bad Omen for Carson Wentz?

On a trip to grab some new socks, I stumbled onto Carson Wentz jerseys. Not one, but many and it’s not a good sign.

I don’t buy socks at Target, Dick’s, Modell’s (when they were still open), Eagles Pro Shops, or Mitchell & Ness. I buy socks at Marshall’s—the discount store—in South Philly. That’s the same place I scored authentic Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard jerseys…after they left town.

That’s the thing with jerseys at Marshall’s. The jerseys normally don’t show up at the likes of Marshall’s, Ross, or TJ Maxx until local players have retired or have been traded or released. Maybe there was a defect in the run of jerseys, but I couldn’t see anything noticeable. They had official NFL tags on them. And, it was both home and away jerseys.

Yikes!

I’m still a believer in Wentz, though it’s becoming harder and harder each week. However, this is not good. I guess the one positive in all of this is that the jerseys have security devices on them so management still thinks there is enough interest and Wentz love out there.
